It is essential that elderly people including those with a diagnosis of Dementia, who require being cared for in person centered environment, feel valued and are recognized as individuals. Effective communication is paramount when providing care for older people who have individual needs relating to their condition or in relation to vulnerability as age determines. Effective understanding of behaviour is also vital if an individual’s needs are to be satisfactorily met.

About Us
E.A. Somoye Foundation is a facility / outreach for the elderly, with the inability to care for themselves and elders who need assistance in carrying out their day to day activity. This foundation is named in honour of Late Mrs E. A. Somoye who was selfless, compassionate, and loving in her motherly care towards not only her family but the entire community.
In order to carry on her legacy, her five bed room apartment and premises will be converted to a home care facility for the elderly as a retirement plan and a home away from home where they can access timely healtcare supports.
Our Mission
To provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where an elderly person is able to relax and grow at their own pace to maximize their potential emotionally, physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually.

Our Vision is to have a society where older people can age happily and securely at home with adequate healthcare access and are strongly connected to their local communities
